This powerful and beautiful wand and talking stick takes its name from Thoth - a demi-god and keeper of divine secret knowledge. The timber shaft of wild olive almost looks like it will come to life. The dark smoky quartz crystal features a phantom and is surrounded by turquoise, adding to the masculaine feel of this piece. Bound with copper, silver and an ancient alchemic mix of Tin and Aluminium, considered sacred in Aztec times.
In Egyptian mythology, Thoth was the god of the moon, god of wisdom, the measurer of time, and the inventor of writing and numbers. Thoth was the 'god of the equilibrium' and considered depictions of him as the 'Master of the Balance' to indicate that he was associated with the equinoxes - the time when the day and the night were balanced. Thoth was one of the most powerful Gods worshiped throughout Egypt. He was known as "master of divine words and sacred writing."
